Apple Cider Bourbon
Oh my God! I can’t believe it’s been a full year since I stopped writing blog posts. Not that I ever really did on a regular basis, but still – how did I let that happen? Turns out, I couldn’t even remember my password and WordPress had changed their entire text editor since then.
Anyway, fall is here – again – and it’s still one of my favorite seasons. Technically it’s almost winter since Christmas is right around the corner. 40 days away, to be exact. I’m already thinking about what we’ll be cooking on Christmas Day. However, until then it’s time to enjoy FALL DRINKS! After a summer full of Aperol Spritz, frozen rosé and margaritas I’m ready for apple cider and bourbon.
Before I tell a long sappy story why I love this drink – let me tell you I searched for fall drinks on Pinterest, saw lots with bourbon and bought the prettiest bottle at the store. Came up with my own recipe because I don’t have a gazillion liquors and spices at home to make it complicated so here it is!
- 2 cl bourbon
- 6 cl apple cider
- 3 cl apple juice
- fresh twigs of thyme and some apple slices for garnish
- ice cubes
- As you might have guessed...Just pour, mix and drink, or if you're fancy and actually own a shaker: Mix, pour and drink! It's that easy. Cheers!
I hope you enjoyed this very professional blog post. Bear with me, I’m just getting back into it. Let me know if you try out the recipe or just wing it – like I usually do. What’s 2 cl anyway?!
